The world has so far taken lightly the discrimination against vertically challenged people. According to a concerned freelance journalist in Malawi, it is as if those people do not matter in a general perspective. Using Malawi’s case of reference as a general African and worldwide scenario, Hozy Stephen tweeted;
The untold discrimination.
My continent, my Africa.
My country my Malawi.
Most African countries Malawi inclusive, are advocating for zero discrimination. Fighting against discrimination is a good and a welcome development only if it’s indeed including all forms of discriminations.
However, the aim of this post is to expose one form of discrimination which has no defenders on the ground. It is the discrimination against short people.
Short people have been discriminated against for so long. This is highly noted during soldiers and police recruitments.
What wrongs have short people committed? Why are tall people so selfish? Why are governments so harsh towards short people?
It is time for all short people to say, enough is enough. Governments in Africa must wake up to protect the people of all heights. Short people are human beings like any other person.
