The ability to create one’s own surviving job is a gift reserved for only a few of humanity. The current wave of struggles in life coupled with joblessness and persistent hardships has forced a lot of people to give up in life but this is not the case of Asare Reuben, popularly known as Okudzeto.
Asare Reuben (also known as Paa Kwesi) who hails from Agogo has garnered a rare reputation at the age of only 18 years.
He is an SHS student who is currently offering General Arts in one of the towns in Ghana. According to his story, he lost his father (who was known as Borga or Kweku Bula) at a very tender age and had only his mother catering for him through hawking on the streets.
What motivated Asare Reuben to venture into this entrepreneurial move? He expressed his worry about his community (Mpesatia) because of the activities of the youths such as smoking of marijuana, prostitution, lawlessness and so on. He then decided to create a friendly avenue to help others to gain meaningful employment. Initially, he reached out to a number of folks for both advice and financial assistance. Mr. Kyei Baffour, a “close older friend” of his readily offered assistance. Also, with the help of a pastor friend, he got more aids to have the necessary foundation.
Another strategy of his that he revealed was that he encouraged the over forty (40) apprentices to share printed envelopes for the entrepreneurial venture (which included production jobs such as soap making, tailoring and so forth).
@Citizen Kwadwo (an experienced senior staffer of ghanashowbiz), during the interview session, inquired from Paa Kwesi whether he was 100% stable financially or needed further assistance.
With this, Asare called out for all potential sponsors to come to his aid for him to extend his activities to nearby communities.
