There Will Be Zero Delay In Modules Supply ~ Director of IDeL, UEW.

Distance learning has become a very usual means of attaining knowledge globally. Given the busy schedule of the working world, distance education is gradually unseating regular education in the various tertiary institutions in Ghana.

Leadership of the Distance Education Students’ Association of have decided to make learning more environmentally friendly. This was captured in a special meeting.

The meeting was held between the National Council of Distance Education Students’ Association ( – UEW) and Management of Institute of Distance and e-Learning (IDeL) of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) on the 23rd January, 2020 at the Registrar’s Conference Room at the North Campus of UEW.

Pertinent issues discussed at the said meeting included the academic works of students and the welfare of students in totality.

In addressing these issues put before management by the National President, Her Excellency Sylvia Freeman Kwadey, the Director for the Institute – Professor Francis Owusu Mensah mentioned that students should expect “ZERO DELAY IN THE SUPPLY OF MODULES”.

This is indispensable because the delay in supply of modules hinders academic prowess of distance students. He again mentioned that students can only be forced to study when modules are timely supplied.

A. Director for the Institute – Professor Francis Owusu Mensah

B. Deputy Registrar – Mr. William Agyei Bieni

C. Finance Officer – Mr. Shadrach Nketiah

D. Mr. Humphrey A.K. Pufaa (Snr. Assistant Registrar, TiDE Unit, IDeL)

E. Assistant Registrar (in charge of admissions) – Vida Josephine Dery

F. Mrs Juliana Ohene – Snr. Lecturer

G. Madam Vivian Arthur – Head of Audit, IDeL

H. Ms Beatrice Torto – Snr. Lecturer

I. The National Council which comprises of the nine-member national executive committee, the ten regional Presidents, and the Council Attorney.

After a thorough engagement, the meeting was brought to a successful end.
