This is why Akwasi Appiah’s salary arrears haven’t been paid yet


For some time now, former Black Stars Head Coach, James Akwasi Appiah has lamented over the refusal of the appropriate authorities to settle some outstanding salaries of his after his exit from the post.

The Deputy Sports Minister, Perry Curtis Kwabla Okudzeto, has indicated that the Sports Ministry is interacting with Kwasi Appiah over the unpaid salary.

The Minister pinpointed that there were hanging issues between Kwasi Appiah and the Ghana Football Association (GFA) before the contract between the parties was abrogated. He promised that as soon as the issue is resolved the necessary documentation and payment of the $180,000 for Kwasi Appiah will follow suit.

“I know that the Sports Ministry is in talks with Kwasi Appiah and at the appropriate time, ones the issues are ironed out, he would be paid,” Deputy Sports Minister told Joy News’ Gary.
