This Is Why Mabel Aku Baneseh’s Letter To The EC Is Trending

Ghanaian voters have chosen Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo as president from 2021 to 2024. The contest was fiercely contested to the extent that many hoped for a run-off. What is even more daring is the split decision in the Parliamentary side. For what has been gathered now, the NPP has 137 seats whilst the NDC has 137 seats with only 1 independent seat (who has an NPP background).

In the face of the foregoing a netizen has written a letter to the Electoral Commission and the letter is trending.

Mabel Aku Baneseh writes..”Dear EC,

I’ve been following your explanations on all media platforms including social media.

I’ve also taken note of the corrections you kept effecting on your social media handles and your website. I’ve abundant screenshots to that effect.

You were the referee at the just ended polls and we expected you to be meticulous and circumspect in your work across the country.

Some say the corrections you effected were not significant enough to overturn the Presidential results. As it stands now, others hold a contrary view.

In short, you’ve NOT been fair to the winners and losers of this year’s Presidential and Parliamentary Polls because of the needless doubts you are currently creating.”
