This throwback photo of a poor Shatta Wale will give you the hope of life

A throwback photo of Ghanaian dancehall artiste Shatta Wale known in real life as Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr that surfaced on the internet is an indicator that there is hope for everyone in this life.

Shatta Wale is currently signed to Zylofon media record label for a reported sum of 1.2million US dollars.

The image that went viral on social media paints a picture of the past life of Shatta Wale not in the best of living conditions as compared to his current success in the music industry.

About Shatta Wale:

Shatta Wale formerly known as Bandana is a Ghanaian born reggae-dancehall musician born on the 17th of October, 1984 to Charles Mensah Snr and Mama Elsie. He is best known for “Dancehall King”. He won Artiste of the Year at the 2014 edition of the Ghana Music Awards.

Shatta Wale changed his name to “Bandana” after senior high school and released the hit track “Bandana from Ghana”.

The song made tremendous airwaves in the Ghanaian music industry in 2004. Shatta Wale’s sudden rise to the occasion happens in 2013 VGMA awards when he threw lyrical insults to VGMA because he proclaimed they robbed him of the Dancehall artist of the year to a female Dancehall artist “Kaakie”.

Even though the song had vulgar lyrics, it was so anticipated by the media which created his musical breakthrough.

His greatest song hit in 2013, Dancehall king took the airwaves by surprise. Shatta Wale’s musical revenue is mostly generated through the hosting of shows which attracts most 1000’s of Ghanaian youths.
