To all and sundry ; be careful ahead of December, 2020 General Elections.

Ghanaians are gradually equating their love for politics to that of their religious affiliations. When it comes to political affiliations and religious beliefs in the Ghanaian perspective, it is seen as a ‘do or die affair’.

You dare not question any Ghanaian’s political or religious choice under any circumstance!

In the face of all these, we have managed to tolerate each other no matter the level of divergence in views. But, as a caution to us, we ought to be extra careful as to how we downplay the political association of others.

A picture sighted on social media ignited my passion to write this article. See the photo beneath:

From this photo, it is quite clear that a massive uproar could be sparked amongst supporters of the New Patriotic Party and the National Democratic Congress within that particular town. In that one party is being hailed while the other is being diminished.

Going forward, we should be extra cautious from now till December 2020 so as to avert any breeding grounds for provocation towards political tension and unrest.

Hail, support and chant the name of your political party but do so without belittling your opponents!
