Trinidadian “Cosby Show” Actor Dies At Age 65

NEW YORK-Sullivan Walker, who played Cliff Huxtable’s card-playing friend Dr. James Harmonon on “The Cosby Show,” has died at the age of 65.

Walker, who was born in Trinidad, also starred as 50 Cent’s grandfather in the movie “Get Rich Or Die Trying” and starred in August Wilson’s Broadway play, “Two Trains Running.” He was also a playwright himself, writing several plays about his native Trinidad.

The New York Daily News reports:

Known for his warm, yet powerful, stage presence, Walker was impressive in the one-man stage works he wrote and performed. They include “Boy Days,” a reflective, and sometimes humorous, work about growing up in the Caribbean; and “Caribbean Woman,” a stage tribute to the ladies of the region.

A part of his steadfast recognition of Trinidad and the Caribbean and his career-long effort to aid and encourage upcoming actors, Walker conducted his “How to Make it in Movies, Television and Theater with a Caribbean Accent” workshop for decades.
