TRUTH’s ‘NOKWARE’ beat ‘stolen’ by JOEY B?

Fast rising African rapper and songwriter, TRUTH, released a couple of jaw breaking singles in 2014, with the song ‘NOKWARE’ produced by Dare, and released on the 19th of August, 2014.

Fast forward to the 18th of December, 2014, JOEY B released his ‘OTOOLEGE’ song with beat and rhythm from the same sample of ‘Nokware’.

Our argument isn’t to create a setting for a surreal interactive discourse on issues that affect the Ghanaian music industry, but we are only wondering where the ‘stealing’ is coming from?

Many entertainment pundits and music enthusiasts that we have spoken with have shared their thoughts that maybe the beat was gotten by Dj Breezy, and Joey B didn’t know of it or vice versa.

My summation after listening to the two songs shows that Joey B’s camp may have misled him into thinking that they coined the original beat for him.

We shall get to talk with both artistes in the coming days to find out a few things for our esteemed readers.
