UNIVERSITY OF GHANA STUDENTS DEMAND CLOSURE OF THE SCHOOL.

Some students of the University of Ghana -Legon have been reacting to the news of two individuals tested positive with coronavirus in Ghana today,  12th March 2020.

According to some students on the Legon main campus, the Vice-Chancellor should with immediate effect close down the school to avoid further spread of the deadly virus among the student’s body.

It is important to note that, the  Noguchi Memorial Institute for Medical Research (NMIMR),  where the test was conducted is right on the University of Ghana campus just beside the School of Public Health and closer to the newly built University of Ghana Medical Center.

It is the fear of the students that, if the regular and usual academic business is allowed to continue on campus, the tendency of most of the students contracting the disease could be high.

The management of the school is yet to make official statement with regards to the latest development.
