Former Head of State and first President within the Fourth Republic, Flt Lt Jerry John Rawlings has courted some controversial responses from social media users after he released a statement that sought to appeal to the conscience of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo on the need to deal fairly & justly with Voltarians concerning the deployment of the military to the Volta and Oti borders.

Reacting to Flt Lt Jerry John Rawlings’ statement, a social media user has jabbed the former head of state of being “hypocritical with his irrelevant insinuation that the military deployment creates suspicion”. The infuriated netizen continued to add that Flt Lt Jerry John Rawlings did worse than the situation he’s finding a problem with.
