VGMA Are Not Fair To The True Winner

VGMA Are Not Fair To The True Winner

imagesThe music duo Keche has released a new song “In His Time” it’s a gospel song which they premiered this morning on the Judgment board of the Am Pluzz show this morning. When asked how they felt about not being nominated for the Vodafone Ghana music awards. The duo responded that the VGMA is not a fair award scheme which gives award to undeserving people. They made reference to 2012 awards which they lost with their son Aluguntugui to Okyeame Kwame’s “faithful”. So they take great joy in their fans accepting their songs and playing it because it’s the greatest award. They submitted their song Diabetes but didn’t get any nominations. Keche opined that the award scheme only favors songs that are popular only in Accra making it Accra music awards.

They explained that their new song is to thank God for their success journey and to start the year with a beautiful song that has a positive impact. They were inspired to write this song after their accident in which they were accused of trying to get media attention. They are thankful to God that after all these challenges God has been good to them. Keche said “Enemies can distract you but can’t break you”
The song was played and the pundits in the studio gave their ratings which was fairly above average. The outstanding comment was that the song is good but the chorus was too long and rap short which makes it a little boring. Most contributors on social media loved the song but also said that the song was similar to Nero X song “oseey”.
Keche went ahead to thank the fans for loving the song.
Keche is looking forward to release an album in July which will be a live recording of 15 songs. They are also to release a new video for their song “Diabetes”. The group is to shoot another video of their new single “fine boy”. Their new album has collaborations with Sarkodie and Popular kumawood actor lil wayne.
