A maverick politician and member of parliament for the Assin Central constituency has fumed about the fight against illegal mining known in Ghana as ‘galamsey’ initiated by his own Government.

Kennedy Agyepong said he is so disappointed in some high ranking government officials who are making the fight difficult for the president. He said the NPP has lost its moral right to call for the prosecution of Ex-prez Mahama over the Airbus saga since they themselves are deeply involved in galamsey.

Speaking on Net2 Tv, he said “Nana Addo is like a tree without roots when it comes to the fight against galamsey. Because all his roots are rotten”.
