(Video): Public Education To All MTN MOMO Users From MTN

News circulating online indicates that from 2nd April, you need to carry along and show your National ID cards before you can do Mobile money transactions with the vendors.

Note however that, the ID one carries should correspond to the name used to register the mobile money.

If one’s momo account was not registered with his or her own ID card, the person needs to carry the other person along with the ID to be able to do the transaction. Otherwise, one can’t withdraw his or her money.

If you want to know the name and other details used to register the SIM card, dial *400#

If you want to know the name and ID used to register the MoMo account, dial 4001#

Those who have both the SIM and MoMo accounts registered with the same ID do not have any issues.
