We Thought Buhari Would Be A Different Ruler For Nigerians – Manasseh Azure Awuni

The former investigative journalist of the Multimedia Group, Manasseh Azure Awuni has jabbed the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria over the current unrest surrounding the ENDSARS protests.

Taking to his official Facebook page, the journalist cum author revealed that he was with the anticipation that His Excellency Buhari would be quite different from those who had already mounted the Seat of Governance for the Federal Republic of Nigeria when it comes to safeguarding the rights of the vulnerable youths.

He wrote;

I used to think that old man would be different. They said he hated corruption and would end it. I thought, with his age, he would think about leaving a legacy instead of just adding up to the number of failed rulers of the continent. They said he would not tolerate nonsense. Now, it’s clear the promoters of those character traits were lying, or they too did not know him well. We now know him for who he is.
