WE WILL SETTLE TEACHERS – EDUCATION MINISTRY.

Teachers are one category of workers who act as agents of change through education. Through education, light is thrown on the darkness in our lives.

As a result of this, teachers are seen as one of the most important workers in every country when nation building is mentioned.

Many teachers in Ghana have decided to lay down their tools because of some issues pertaining to their work.

Technical University Teachers Association Of Ghana (TUTAG) have declared a strike action because the government has refused to migrate them from their current pay level to the required status as University teachers.

The government had formerly proposed to do this after the necessary auditing but is yet to.

Speaking to a recognised news portal this noon, Spokesperson for the Ministry of Education, Ekow Vincent Assafuah admitted that TUTAG have the rights to go on a strike but should exercise patience since officials at the Education Ministry are willing to address all their concerns.
