Weed, also known as marijuana or cannabis, has long been stigmatized as a harmful drug with no redeeming qualities. But rapper Wiz Khalifa believes this perception is misguided.
In an interview with Rolling Stone, Khalifa said, “Weed is not as bad as people think it is. It's all about how you use it and how often you use it.” He went on to explain that, for him, smoking weed is a way to relax and unwind after a long day of work.

Khalifa is not alone in his belief that weed is not as harmful as people think. A growing body of research suggests that marijuana has a number of medicinal benefits, including reducing pain and inflammation, and even slowing the progression of certain diseases like Alzheimer's and cancer.
Furthermore, the criminalization of marijuana has been a source of systematic racial injustice. Black people are nearly four times more likely to be arrested for marijuana possession than white people, despite similar usage rates.
Despite the fact that many people still view weed as a dangerous drug, it's important to consider the potential benefits and to approach the subject with an open mind. As Wiz Khalifa said, “It's all about how you use it and how often you use it.” And maybe, just maybe, it's not as bad as we think it is.
