In an exclusive interview with this website over what might have inspired her for such merry, the “Uber Driver” music performer has stated that, she is so much overwhelm with the kind of support Ghanaians habe ushered her within a year and few months of invading the Ghanaian music industry.
“Naturally I am a good giver and I am free to give anytime but this is so special to me, looking at the kind of support I have received from Ghanaians just a year and some few months of registering my presence at the music scene. I see it to be good to give at least a mobile call credit to my fans who have been supporting me online and streaming my songs. I feel proud of them and I want them to know I appreciate their kind gesture. They are now my family.
Born Wendy Addo, known by the mononym Wendy Shay, is a Ghanaian Afropop and Afrobeats singer.
She was introduce into the Ghanaian music scene by Bullet, CEO of Rufftown Music Records after the demise of Late Ebony.
Wendy Shay has been consistent for about 20 months and has garnered a million followers on her social media handles.
She had won “New Artiste” of the year at the 20th Edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
She has to her credit hit songs such as, “Uber Driver, Steve Wonder, Bedroom Comando, the Boy is Mine” among others and an album “Shay On you”.
