Where Is The Standpoint Of Entertainment In Our Development As A Country?
This is the confusion of a worried a ghanain Kelly Nii Lartey Mensah who ask on facebook how entertainment affects our development.
“Dear Entertainment Show Host(s),
You were in Ghana when celebrities campaigned for politicians jumping from radio to television stations telling us to vote for NDC and the NPP for them to solve our problems. We did but our problems have added up. we have new ones plus the existing ones. Years later they come to you with their new movies, singles and albums to promote..basically to convince us again to buy and pay for their shows.
Please, its only prudent to ask. “massa, which auditorium are going to perform at?, have you asked the president whom you asked us to vote for why he hasn’t looked at the entertainment industry?”
“you’re a nice actor/actress but how do you want the people u pleaded with to vote for your friends going to watch ur film?…they don’t have light”
….”or you want them to buy generators to listen to your song and watch your movies? in what currency? cedi or dollar??”
