Whitney Houston’s Daughter Is The Sole Heir To Her Mum’s Estimated £12.8million Fortune

TRAGIC Whitney Houston’s family fear her ex-husband Bobby Brown is trying to get his hands on her fortune, it has been claimed. US reports say they are worried he is trying to get close to daughter Bobbi Kristina, 18, to get to the cash.

Bobbi is the sole heir to Whitney’s estimated £12.8million fortune.

Now showbiz site TMZ is reporting the star’s mum Cissy is trying to stop Brown from getting his hands on the money.

Friends of the family have told him they hold him responsible for Whitney’s drug and alcohol problems — and banned him from her funeral.

Brown is understood to be aware of the bad blood, but is desperately trying to build bridges. It comes amid claims Whitney, 48, had been drinking almost every day leading up to her death.

She is said to have fallen off the wagon following the end of filming for Sparkle.

TMZ reports her family was allegedly concerned that her friends were accommodating her craving for drinks.

But rumours she may have been using aliases to get prescriptions from doctors were scotched.

There was said to be no evidence she or her doctors ever did anything illegal or out of the ordinary. This comes after fears the singer could have used fake names, like the late king of pop Michael Jackson, to get medicines.

So far no official cause of death has been recorded into her death.

The latest claims come after the singer told pals she felt her “time was coming” and spoke of “seeing Jesus” in the hours before her death.

The tragic star is said to have become increasingly spiritual — quoting Bible passages and saying she felt her end was near before she was found dead in a bath at the Beverly Hilton hotel, Los Angeles, on Saturday. Her body was flown to New Jersey by private jet late Monday ahead of her funeral, which will be held Saturday at the New Hope Baptist Church, in her hometown Newark.

The private service will be broadcast live to give her fans a chance to say their farewells to the singer.

This will be their only opportunity as there will be no public memorial for the singer.

Whitney is thought to be set to be buried next to her father John Russell Houston Jr who died in 2003.
