Who Causes Flour Shortage In Ghana?

IMG-20150818-WA0002It’s a beautiful sight when you visit the junction mall on Sundays as a band plays live on their compound. You encounter couples who just met each other about to enter at the entrance hugging or greeting each other. It’s an amazing sight to spot to see families together eating or holding hands to enter shops. It’s a beautiful time to see a lot of people and socialize after church. The most patronized place at the mall is the SHOPRIE shop at the mall.
I entered to have a look and buy a couple of things. I went through most of the sections till I got to the bakery, what I saw surprised me. There were a lot of people standing waiting for freshly baked bread. The customers had been standing there for almost thirty minutes and more. All of them not so bothered about waiting for the bread in front of the bakery section. After waiting with them for some time the bread came and it was rush hour, they were grabbing bread from the vendor. Customers were in a rushing to get their bread for the week in quantity of 2 0r more. After rushing and buying, the crowd subsided and another group of people also started gathering to wait for their turn. I just reasoned that this was the reason for shortage of flour in Ghana and most people loved the freshly baked bread on Sunday evenings. It was a sight and entertaining to see how much love Ghanaians IMG-20150818-WA0001have for bread.
