WHO KNOWS THE RIGHT AGE FOR SEX EDUCATION ? – RETIRED EDUCATIONIST

Of late, there has been a lot of unending brouhaha concerning the issue of the introduction of sexual education in various schools across the country.
With keen observations, it could be seen that even some States within U.S.A are fumbling with the sustainability link of sex education.

In Ghana, the least said the better. A lot of personalities have showed sharp verbal fracases among themselves as to how the issue of sex education should be implemented within our educational system. One retired Director of Education, Mr. Kusi Pombah had this to say;

“One thing we are all refusing to see is that kids are not as dumb as we envisage them to be. Ideally, at a very early stage, kids are introduced to a lot of things through the influence of mass media. The influence of television can never be downplayed. Children are exposed to most things related to sexuality with or without the knowledge of their guardians.

At which age do you suggest that our kids should be introduced to sex education?”
