Why King Promise’s Career Seems To Have Ended Prematurely




It’s gradually becoming a usual trend for some favourite Ghanaian artistes to go into hibernation after recording a few hit songs.

It somewhat becomes difficult to tell why it is so. Notable amongst such musicians who have gone silent after entertaining Ghanaians for a while include Nana Boroo, Daddie Opanka, Kwesi Arthur, E.L, D-Black, Trigmatic, Iwan, and so forth.

Gregory Bortey Newman whose stage name is King Promise came into the music scene not long ago to scatter the minds of our girls with his erotic voice, romantic lyrics and sexy vibes. He nearly took all our women at one point because his brand and tracks become a household name.

All our red-letter days with this sexy musician vanished even before the onset of the novel Coronavirus. His absence from the music scene can be traced for almost a year or so now.

For the fact that we haven’t heard from him for that long, it wouldn’t be far from right for his fans to conclude that his career has somewhat ended.

Has his career ended prematurely or he’s rebranding for a doper comeback like Shatta Wale did from Bandana to his current state?
