Mr Afamefuna Klint Igwemba Aka Klint da Drunk is a Comedian, Musician, Actor, Dancer and a Painter who has been in many Nigerian standup comedy shows and Nigerian Movies.

He is humble, nice, loves gadget and knows a lot about them. He became popular in gh comedy when he featured on TV3 Mentor where he performed a reggae song from scratch amidst telling jokes. The Ghanaian populace from then were hooked on his drunken style of appearance, ability to compose songs on stage and his unrepeated jokes. He boasts that he got his drunken appearance and style of telling jokes from a man called, Scatter Mojo who used to be their caretaker in the village.

Klint says “Mr. Scatter Mojo was a real drunk his kind of person and the odd jobs he did in the village usually got him soaked. So, each time he got drunk and staggered his way back to their house, I noticed that my father and my uncle usually entertained themselves on that day. Sometimes, I would mimic him, without knowing that I was consciously preparing myself to earn a living by adopting the character of a drunk”.

Klint studied Fine and Applied Art and is a painter by profession and if he should find himself out of the comedy industry, he would probably be painting or acting professionally, or maybe pursuing a career in music. when one talks of Nigerian comedy, one name is sure to mentioned and that’s Klint Da Drunk as he has all the time lived up to his name and risen above people’s expectation.

Kevin Jay is a white man to the core from UK who has adopted a Nigerian name Oluwakevin because he loves Nigeria and understands Nigerian cultures having lived with Yoruba people in the North of his country for twenty two years, and also with other Africans, people from Caribbean and Asia on the list. He chose the name Oluwakevin because he believes that God comes first in his life and this was why he prefixed Oluwa to his name. (Oluwa, meaning God in Yoruba).

Beating his chest, he boasts that he is well known in the United Kingdomespecially in the comdy industry after studying sport science in school. He’s admitted that he’s a clown because he didn’t take his studies seriously in school.

His well known experience in stand-up comedy has seen him being labeled the cheeky, cocky, London-centric, New Kid on the Block!! Kevin Jay has been part of some of the biggest UK comedy productions throughout 2009 such as Kojo’s Comedy Funhouse which aired on MTV Base where Kevin J was said to be the star of the show!

Most recently Kevin J was nominated as Best Newcomer at The Black Tie Comedy Awards. “Rising Star and Innovative Performer” – Flavour Magazine. His secret for being one of the best UK comedians is the fact that he blends his Nigerian accent with his own accent and that surprises people all the time and also makes them laugh at his jokes.

Gordons

Godwin Komone aka Gordons whose real name is defines comedy as “Comedy is what prophecy is to a prophet and what Jesus Christ is to a Christian. Comedy is far beyond telling a story with a happy ending, it goes beyond cracking a joke. Comedy is all about being funny and it goes beyond a joke”.
Gordons upon entering the comedy industry in Nigeria tried carving a niche for himself and says “truth of the matter is that you must learn the rule of every game before you play. No man builds a house without first counting the cost. When I came into the industry, I realised that people were doing comedy in a particular way so I said to myself that I must make an impact by doing something different to create a niche for myself. I realised that comedy then was all about entertainment without education so I decided to bring a little bit of education into entertainment thereby creating psycho-comedy. It will make you laugh and it will also make you think”.
He’s well known for using the Bible for most of his jokes; one easy way to identify Gordons on any comedy stage is when you hear “shout Hallelujah!!!” He is hilarious, consistent and has a track record of making people cry.
Rush for your ticket and book your seat, tickets are on sale at X-MEN, MTN offices in Osu and Accra Mall and Charter House for Ghc100, Ghc60.
