Wutah Kobby and I are planning on working together – Wutah Afriyie

Highlife musician Afriyie, a member of the defunct musical group, Wutah has revealed that he is in talks with his former partner Wutah Kobby to work on a new project.

He said, “We planning on doing something, we just haven’t gotten the ample time”.

The artiste, who was speaking in an interview with Dr Pounds on the ‘Hitz Gallery’ show on Hitz FM explained they have been communicating but have not had ample time to work on their new project.

The ‘Go Gaga’ hit maker, who recently said the groups trademark was not lost, explained that the fact that they are no more a group does not mean they are enemies.

“We still communicate, if we not working together doesn’t mean we can’t still be friends”, he explained.

Kobby and Afriyie were members of music group ‘Wutah’ which came to national attention through the Nescafe Africa Revelation contest in 2004.

The group released several hit songs including ‘Goosie Gander’ and ‘Adonko’. Their song, ‘Big Dreams’ won Best Reggae Song at the 2005 Ghana Music Awards.

It is rumoured that there was constant internal bickering between Wutah Kobby and Afriyie which they both denied but their break-up in 2009 lent some credence to the rumours.
