YFM to transport presenters home after work

The management of Y FM, a subsidiary of the Global Media Alliance has decided to transport presenters to their various homes after close of work.

The decision, was reached after a presenter of the station was kidnapped and tortured by some rogues for unstated reasons.

Managing Director of the station, Franklin Fiati disclosed this on Joy FM’s Super Morning show when she condemned the tortured meted out to Ms Ada.

Adaeze Onyinyechie Ayoka was kidnapped by unknown rogue who raped her and have started circulating disturbing pictures on social media.

The YFM MD said the presenter had been absent from work since Thursday and her mobile phone had also been off.

According to the YFM MD, he even sent a query letter on Monday to the Presenter because he thought she had been absent without an excuse.

However, when troubling photos showing the kidnappers raping Ms Ada started circulating on social media Management noted that the situation was more serious.

The family of the Nigerian national some of whom are living in Ghana is devasted by the incident, the MD said.

“We are also doing our best internally to track down the kidnappers”, he revealed.

Joy News’ Western region correspondent, Kwaku Owusu Preprah, said his sources say it is likely Ada was abducted on Thursday.

He told the Super Morning Show that Ada’s dreadlocks – which are her trademark – have been shaved off by her abductors, prompting suspicion her kidnappers had specifically targeted the Presenter.

“She cannot talk, she only nods to questions”, Peprah said.

He said he gathered further from the nurses that the Presenter was brought to the hospital around 1am by an unknown person after her ordeal at a yet-to-be-identified hotel.

However, to Kwaku Owusu Preprah said the rumour in Takoradi, where the incident, happened is that the kidnapping and rape is publicity stunt to ramp up the popularity of Ms Ada.
