You are a bigger problem than coronavirus if you expect the president to ban you from going to clubs -Atik Muhammed
We are hearing now. people would always have issues with anything you do.
After the president's regulation on social gatherings, some section of Ghanaians could not understand why the president closed down churches and left clubs. Some subsequently took to social media to mock the president for that decision. Notable among them are Mzbel and Lawyer Francis Xavier Sosu of NDC.
a member of the People's National Convention (PNC) and a regular panelist of Peace FM's Kokorokoo program, Atik Muhammed has jumped into the president's defense.
He wrote on his social media page this afternoon questioning how ready Ghanaians are to put their own safety into their hands.
“Why do we do this to ourselves? That in the face of this COVID 19 scare, some folks have the presence of mind to attempt gaining political capital from directives that are meant to ensure our collective safety. Closing down prayer centers is a tough but necessary decision for the common good. To attack that, using night clubs as a justification is sad to say the least. If you cannot act responsibly enough to avoid night clubs, “beer bars” a.k.a pubs and such other mundane meetings in these difficult times, but are expecting a presidential directive to do that, then I dare say we have a bigger problem than the COVID-19 pandemic. Let's avoid this pettiness and work together as people of a country who are determined to rid our country of this gargantuan threat.” he wrote.
What do you make of this?
