Amicus applications are filed to join cases you are not party to but have something substantial to add. So IMANI tried to use this route to join and supply additional information to the court.

The Founder of the group, Mr. announcing the dismissal of the case to his Facebook followers, he said  “update: Supreme Court says, our amicus brief was filed so late. That we should have filed a new application and finally our amicus supports one party so we can’t file it. We are disappointed but we hear. We will continue our advocacy. We shall publish the brief for all to read”
