Your New Register Is Disappointing – John Mahama Jabs Jean Mensah’s EC

As the electioneering moment is getting closer by the passing of every single day, the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) are striving to sound convincing enough to the eligible electorates whose thumbs would send them to the Seat of Governance or keep them off.

As part of the preparations for the Dec 7 Parliamentary and Presidential General Elections, Madam Jean Mensa-led Electoral Commission had proposed and executed a New Voters’ register which is being scrutinized because of some missing names since the exhibition exercise was commenced on 18/09/2020.

In reaction to the issues surrounding the New Voters’ Register, Flagbearer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Mahama has described the Electoral Commission’s newly compiled voters’ register as disappointing.

Addressing the press yesterday, Mr. Mahama noted that although the EC promised to provide a problem-free register, issues generated detected in the new roll is unprecedented.
