Breaking News: Ballot Box Snatcher In Sene West, Bono Region Jailed

Information reaching our news outlet indicates that a ballot snatcher in the Sene West Constituency has been arraigned before the Sunyani Circuit court.

From Samson Lardy’s NewsFile ‘docket’, the said ballot box snatcher (one Christian Nuipatah) pleaded guilty before the judge and was handed a sentence in accordance with the Electoral Criminal Law.

According to Lawyer Samson’s revelation, the said 39-year-old ballot box snatcher was fined Gh¢3,600, handed a 3-month jail sentence and also banned from voting in Ghana for 5 years. Per the judgement, if he fails to pay the fine, he will do another 6 months in addition to the 3 months punitive action (making it 9 months in total).

Unfortunately, because of this ballot snatcher, the Sene West Parliamentary Seat is an outstanding one with a court injunction.
