Olu Of Warri, Ikenwoli Godfrey Emiko Allegedly Dies Of COVID-19

Olu of Warri, Ikenwoli Godfrey Emiko, has been reported dead from COVID-19 at age 65.

The monarch’s death comes barely a week after his fifth coronation anniversary.

According to reports, he was said to have met with the late Major General John Irefin who was reported to have died of Coronavirus complications earlier this month.

News about his death was confirmed by a source who spoke to SaharaReporters.

The source reportedly said;

“Olu of Warri is dead but the palace chiefs are trying to keep the information hidden from the public till they are sure the time is right.”

However, an official announcement is expected to be made soon by the Ologbosere of Warri, Chief Emami Ayiri, who, as the traditional Prime Minister of the town, is empowered to break the news of the monarch’s death
