TV License suspended by GBC

TV licence has been suspended by The Ghana Broadcasting Corporation, GBC, effective 3rd August 2015. A decision to pave way for the determination of an interim introductory injection case on the collection and disbursements of the fee.

Suleiman Braimah, Executive Director of the Media Foundation for West Africa, says GBC is in the right direction of suspending the revised TV licence fee to enable further public education on the subject.

However he underscored the need for every citizen to pay the TV license fee to ensure effective public service broadcasting.
