Female Musicians Fight ‘Sex For Favours’ Syndrome As Adez Calls For Support

Upcoming Afropop artiste Adez (Nana Adez Stokes) is calling on the Ghanaian society to create an enabling environment for female artists to thrive in the music industry.

In an interview with Kojo Akoto Boateng on the Ultimate Drive, Adez revealed that most female artistes find themselves in a dilemma when they start promoting their songs because some people ask for sexual favors before they help them.

According to her, the challenges that female artistes face in the industry are a major setback for the growth of the industry.

She has therefore advised music lovers to support good music and listen to the right artistes.

Adez has worked extensively with legends like Kwabena Kwabena, Kojo Antwi and Obrafour. She says given the right support, Ghanaian female artistes can sell Ghana globally.
