I Have No Girlfriend – Richie

Ghanaian RnB music artiste, Richard Mensah known in showbiz as Richie (the beat maker) has descended on critics who accuse musicians of living lives not worthy of emulation in society.

Richie in an interview with ‘The Weekend Moment’ said because most musicians are entertainers and encourage fun life, “people normally think that we [musicians] do the bad things that happen in the society”.

According to him, the assertion that musicians are smokers, drunkards and womanizers are untrue stating that singers are human beings just like others, so if they smoke he does not have the mandate to stop them but there are politicians, doctors and teachers who do smoke yet the public do not condemn their actions but rather tarnish the image of singers. He added that though some musicians smoke does not mean all musicians smoke, “just that our lives seem to be fun.

The RnB singer who is also a sound engineer noted that in this computer era, most guys cheat on their girlfriends so when they see musicians cheating on a girl they tend to describe all musicians as cheaters.

But when Richard Mensah was asked whether he does cheat on his fiancée, he claimed he has no girlfriend to cheat on indicating that he works the whole day and most girls could not cope with his schedule so he has opted to live in the isolation of such girls.
He said “I am not necessarily searching for a girl but I will officially disclose to the media when I find the one after my heart, but until then I enjoy been a workaholic. “I don’t know if my stage performance catches the eyes of girls but when the ladies approach me in town and tell me that they love my music, I only say thank you and drive home”, Richie added.

He continued that combining singing with sound engineering makes his schedule very tight so has no time to spend with girls.

Richie even denied dating beautiful hip-pop artiste, Eazzy, explaining that the rumours surrounding their dating was as a result of video clip entitled “One Gal” in which they got married and kissed Eazzy in the said video. Eazzy and I are in the same entertainment house”, he disclosed.

Meanwhile, Richie will release an album this year.
