BBNaija delayed because of new infrastructure – Organisers

Organisers of the Big Brother Nigeria reality show have explained that this year’s edition has delayed because of the type of infrastructure they are putting up.

John Ugbe, CEO of Multichoice Nigeria, revealed that they are currently designing a new infrastructure for the show.

Speaking during a media interaction, he said the house and other logistics for the show are now ready for the reality show to be begun.

Mr Ugbe shared the sentiments of fans of the reality show noting that when fans get excited about a particular show and it does not start, they get agitated.

“If you want something and it doesn’t show up, then you feel it’s taking so long but we are happy we created something people want to see,” he said.

The Multichoice Nigeria CEO explained it takes time to get a well-designed studio for such a show and they wanted to get everything right before it starts airing.

“When questions about delays come up, we say explain to that it is not a delay. From time to time it depends on the strategies where to have these studios. We can’t rebuild every year so by the time we had Big Brother Africa, Big Brother South Africa, Portuguese, it makes sense to do all in one studio,” he revealed

Mr Ugbe noted even though the show is back in Nigeria, nothing has changed and fans are going to enjoy it as always.

The Big Brother Nigeria season 4 dubbed “The Big Brother Naija Experience 2019″ will be launched on June 29 in Nigeria. The event will be aired on Africa Magic platforms on DStv and GOtv.

Some past winner and housemates of the reality show attended the press conference.
