Bilateral agreements between Ghana and Côte d’Ivoire have gained prospects – Prez.
The President of the Republic of Ghana has stressed that Ghana and Côte d’Ivoire are duly contributing over 65% of the total production of world cocoa.
During the African Leadership Meeting in South Africa to discuss African businesses, H.E. Nana Akufo-Addo made it clear that the bilateral agreement that his government had with that of Ghana’s neighbours have yielded enormous results.
He further stressed that the production and consumption of chocolate are steadily gaining recognition worldwide. He also added that, the taste and patronization of cocoa products are also maximising in all spectrums.
With regards to the way froward, he encouraged cocoa producing farmers to feel proud in their chosen field of work since cocoa production has become one of the most important aspects of farming. He promised to make cocoa growing enviable in the days to come to encourage mass production of the cocoa plants.
