Education as a means to broaden one’s horizon through his or her cognitive, affective and psychomotor domains is highly essential in our modern world.
It is everyone’s wish to pursue his or her education to the highest level they so desire but some people are unable to because of poor grades, financial constraints and so on.
During Catholic University’s matriculation in Fiapre (Sunyani) , Prof . Kwesi Yankah (Deputy Education Minister) opined that the government is putting in place all measures in a new policy to ensure that candidates who score D7 in WASSCE are deemed qualified to be in the university.
He cited an example that getting D7 in Maths and Science shouldn’t stop someone who wishes to pursue a humanitarian course that has nothing to do with Core Maths or Core Science.
He added that it is high time we all ensured that all bottlenecked situations in the educational ladder are solved.
Do you know someone who was a victim in this D7 or E8 stumbling block ?
