COVID-19: Drones to transport blood samples of quarantined persons to testing centres

 

 


The government has revealed plans in which drones would be utilized in transporting the blood samples of persons suspected to be infected with the Coronavirus to the two main testing centres in the country for now.

This was disclosed by the Minister of Health, Hon. Kwaku Agyeman Manu when he was addressing the media in Accra. The Minister said the drones will also be deployed for the distribution of other essential medical supplies and Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) health personnel in the frontline of the fight against the novel Coronavirus.

He further revealed that the government has set up a quarantine centre at Tamale after the confirmation of 10 new cases of COVID-19 in the Northern regional capital.
