D-Black & Sarkodie Nominated At 2012 Nigerian Hiphop World Awards

As another edition of one of the most prestigious music awards in Nigeria, The Headies draws nearer, the nominees for this year’s awards have been revealed and 2 of Ghana’s musical giants make the final
nomination cut making Ghana proud!

Ghana’s ‘My Kinda Girl & VERA’ hit maker and 2011 BET Award nomiee ‘D-Black’ is nominated alongside Ghana’s fastest rapper and 2012 BET Award co-winner ‘Sarkodie’ in the category of BEST AFRICAN ACT alongside Camp Mulla from Kenya and Zahara from South Africa.

D-Black who is most likely looking like a huge contender for the 2013 VGMA Artist of the year and song of the year with his hit record ‘VERA’ as well as My Kinda Girl, Falling ft. Mo Cheddah songs off his
upcoming sophomore album ‘The Revelation’ is nominated as well as the current VGMA Artist of the year ‘Sarkodie’ whose Rapperholic Album was released last year to rave reviews are up against Kenya’s 4

With our Ghanaian acts overshadowing the other countries in this category we know the award is definitely coming our way to either D-Black or Sarkodie.

Nigerian Pop giants Psquare, Soul-Jazz singer Bez Idakula lead the nominees list with six nods each.

The twin pop duo released their fifth album last year with the smash hit singles ‘Chop my money’and ‘Beautiful Onyinye’ both garnering international remixes from US acts Akon and Rick Ross respectively.
