Diana Asamoah donates to flood victims

Prolific gospel musician, Evangelist Diana Asamoah, has donated assorted items to the victims of the June 3 flood and fire disasters at the 37 Military hospital.

The items include five bags of rice, twenty pieces of cloth, five gallons of cooking oil, used clothes, soaps among others and a cash of GHs500.00.

Presenting the items, the award winning artist said, the donation was to show the victims, particularly those at the hospital, that they had not been forgotten by society.

While this forms part of her social responsibility, she noted she also has a role to play as a Christian to ensure that those traumatized get the needed support.

Visiting the victims at their various wards in the hospital, the Evangelist, preached to them to accept Jesus Christ as their saviour who had rescued them from death and also prayed to God for quick healing.

She added that, God knows the reason for their condition and it was important they get closer to God.

Receiving the items, the Commanding Officer of the hospital, Colonel Samuel Adjei, expressed gratitude on behalf of the victims to the gospel artiste for the kind gesture, adding, “this is how Christianity should look like and not only preaching the gospel to the masses without reaching the people in time like this”.

On their part, the patients thanked the artist for the gesture and urged all and sundry to emulate the musician since her kindness would go a long way to save discouraged souls.
