I didn’t bring coronavirus to Togo, stop calling me to donate – Adebayor fumes

Togolese football star, Emmanuel Adebayor defends himself for refusing to donate to fight coronavirus.

His defense comes at the back of many stars supporting their local governments in the fight against coronavirus by donating either in cash or in-kind to their governments. Some of his social media followers asked him why he is not doing same.

The Paraguayan Club Olimpia striker, Adebayor says he only does things he wants and would never succumb to pressure to do anything.

“I am Emmanuel Sheyi Adebayor and I will always do what I want, I eat the food I want & that’s the most important thing to me…Stop comparing me to Drogba & Etoo asking me why I don’t have a foundation or why I don’t donate. I am not the one who brought the coronavirus to Togo.” he wrote.
