I don’t joke with my consultation fees at all !!! – Osofo Kyiriabosom (Leader & Founder ~GUM Party).

The head pastor of Life Assembly Worship Center who doubles as the flagbearer of the newly formulated Ghana Union Movement (GUM) party, Rev. Christian Kwabena Andrews, who styles himself as Osofo Kyiri Abosom has opined that he takes consultation fees at his premises very seriously.

According to him, there is nothing untoward for him as an ordained man of God to charge his congregants and other serious minded people who consult him for their spiritual needs.

He reaffirmed the fact that his consultation fees differ from one person to the other, revealing that politicians are charged differently from ordinary citizens.

The Flagbearer of GUM revealed that doctors charge their patients for consultation and wondered why God’s chosen pastors cannot do same.

Many pastors have come under heavy criticisms for monetizing their godly mandate and using their churches for several businesses (some churches sell tiles, cement, cars, etc).

As a way to clear his name, the popular man of God speaking on Accra 100.5 FM’s “Ayekoo Ayekoo” with Nana Romeo, described such critics of consultation fees as unaware of the teachings of the Bible since the church needs money like any other institution. He further reiterated that he uses the consultation fees to pay the church’s utility bills, radio activities, TV programmes as well as other relevant projects.

He vowed never to stop taking consultation fees because the offertory (collection) alone cannot solve the church’s countless financial difficulties.

“I don’t joke with my consultation fees. I can’t afford to go hungry when I’m working. Doctors charge for consultation, so why can’t we pastors do same when people come to us. Those who criticise me and other pastors are just ignorant of the teachings of the Bible. How can I pay my TV programmes and utility bills if I don’t charge for consultation? You are seeking consultation for the knowledge God has given me, so you have to pay. It’s not for free, the charges differ from person to person, politicians are charged differently from businessmen and women and ordinary people,” Osofo Kyiriabosom stated.
