I stopped talking to my brother for 3 months because of politics – John Jinapor.

A family people always cite as example when the discourse of political difference and tolerance rise up is the Jinapor family.

National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament (MP) for Yapei-Kusawgu and former Deputy Power Minister John Abdulai Jinapor has revealed that for three months, he was not in talking terms with his younger brother, Samuel Abu Jinapor, a staunch member of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) and current Deputy Chief of Staff, because of their political differences.

Speaking on Accra-based Asempa FM on Friday February 22, 2020 monitored by Ghanashowbiz.com, Mr John Jinapor stated that ever since that incident that saw tempers flare up, he and his brother have resolved to not discuss politics when they meet.

“Sometimes we meet and talk, just that we avoid something – politics – because it created a problem: for about three months we didn’t speak to each other. It creates lots of problems…So since then, I just decided that I can’t change him and he can’t change me [so we don’t talk politics anymore],” he revealed on the show.
