“Irrelevant People Will Hate You For Being Yourself” – Sister Derby Shades
For a while now, musician cum fashionista Deborah Owusu-Bonsu aka Sister Derby or African Mermaid as a Ghanaian television presenter has been so consistent with her craft.
Owusu- Bonsu, who is the sweet sister of popular hip life musician Wanlov the Kubolor, has really inspired many of her young fans she calls “the dolphins”.

In her latest post on social media, she has bemoaned the pressure society puts on people who are eager to be themselves instead of copying other people’s lifestyles.
She tweeted;
They ask you to be yourself, but then they hate you for being yourself. Thank goodness they are irrelevant. ☮️🧜🏽♀️
