Journalists angry at Agya Koo over ‘Soli’

Information gathered by Zionfelix.com is that some journalists who were at Agya Koo’s press conference held last Friday in Kumasi is angry at the actor.

According to a Kumasi-based radio presenter who wants to remain anonymous, a section of the media men who were at the press conference were not happy when they were left to go home without being provided money for transportation usually called ‘soli’ in the media trade.

According to him, the about twenty to twenty-five journalists were provided minerals at the event but the expected money which should have followed ‘refused to come’.

“Agya Koo’s communication told us they would see us the following day, but nothing has happened and I hear Rocksone is in Accra now,” one of the journalists said.

He added that journalists from Angel FM, Boshye FM, New Mercury, Popular Newspaper and other media houses also expressed their dissatisfaction about the treatment.

Another reporter who writes for ‘The Popular Newspaper’ also narrated his ordeal to Zionfelix.com when we reached him on phone.

“The programme was to start at 9 in the morning but when I reached there, owners of the hotel told me nobody had booked the venue for the event. I called Rockson and he told me that the programme will start at 11 but when I told him that the venue had not been booked, he hung up and never picked my subsequent calls made to him,” The popular Newspaper reporter said.

Adding, “we had to rearrange the bar of the hotel to start the conference at 11am.”

The Popular Newspaper reporter continued that they were asked to write their names after the event that ended at 2 pm and were asked to go without any ‘soli’.

“They said they would call us but I’ve not received any call from anyone. I don’t know about the others if they have been contacted or not,” he indicated.

The two Kumasi-based journalists told zionfelix.com that Razz Newspaper and Peace FM’s reporter, Mustapha Inusah popular known as Attractive was the only journalist suspected to have been given ‘soli’ for his return journey to Accra.

The press conference was organized for Agya Koo known in real life as Alex Kofi Adu to address accusations leveled against him by some movie producers.
