(Just In): South Africa declare nationwide lockdown until 16 April amidst Covid-19 scare.
South Africa has 402 confirmed cases of COVID-19. This means there has been an increase of 128 from Sunday’s announcement. His Excellency Matamela Cyril Ramaphosa has just met the nation in a live telecast to address his subjects on the COVID-19 issues within their country.
Before the said telecast, there were various speculations that the first gentleman may declare a total lockdown in some parts of South Africa like Pretoria, Bloemfontein, Cape Town, and Johannesburg. But, as it stands now, the President has declared a lockdown for the entire nation.
