Man Beats Girlfriend Mercilessly Because She Asked Him To Marry Her

Love can indeed be sweet and/or sour at the same time. Many go through hell all in the name of a relationship and have nobody to blame but themselves.
Reports making round indicate that a 29-year-old woman, Mary Ama Nyorkey, has been beaten to a pulp by her boyfriend. Her only crime was to ask him to marry her.

The incident occurred at Adeiso Amaakrom in the Upper West Akyem District of the Eastern Region.
This girlfriend was purportedly beaten mercilessly by the boyfriend – Delalu Kwasi Atakpa, 30. He even went ahead to inflict severe injuries on her.

Facts of the issue have it that, the victim – Mary Ama Nyorkey, who was cohabitating, left the house of the boyfriend after a misunderstanding ensued between them.

According to the victim, she went to stay with her mother; a decision the boyfriend was not happy about, and demanded she returned to his house. The victim refused and insisted that the boyfriend ask her hand in marriage and perform the customary marriage rites before she returns to his house. This is just what was received by mixed reactions and resulted in physical attacks.
