Noella Wiyaala Performing At The Queen’s Birthday Party
Noella Wiyaala has pave her way into international standards and performed at the Queen’s Birthday celebration in London. She exhibits her culture and energy when she performs. She has a unique brand which sells across bridging language barriers to bring the true essence of good music and art.
Noella is an artiste who entered the industry by winning Vodafone icons 3 years ago with her other 2 members of the group Black And Peach. She broke away from the group and is making waves both in Ghana and Africa. Wiyaala sings both in English and her native Sisaala. She writes her songs herself. She has earned praise for her bold, powerful voice and distinguished timbre
Noella Wiyaala was born in Wa, Upper West Ghana as one of four sisters and raised in Tumu. She got first singing lessons from her mother, a choir singer, and she has performed ever since she was 5 years old. Her surname, which she picked for a stage name, means “the doer” in her native Sisaala language. During her late teenage years she played football as a midfielder. She has attended Takoradi Polytechnic on an art and design course.
Wiyaala got nominated “Female Personality of the Year” at the 2014 Ghana’s Fashion Icon Awards, with a dress sketched and designed by herself.She designs her own stage dresses and jewellery to showcase the culture of the people from her home region.
Wiyaala has also won the best female vocal artist of the year at the recently enden Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
