Our offices are still closed despite lockdown lift – GFA
World football and all other sporting activities have been halted because of the Coronavirus pandemic.
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) says its offices across the country remain closed even after the government has lifted the partial lockdown in the Greater Accra, Greater Kumasi and Kasoa vicinities.
This is because the government’s directive limiting public gatherings to just 25 people “is still in force,” the GFA explained in a statement.
Members of the GFA, including clubs, Regional Football Associations, and all stakeholders are to continue with the use of the online systems of the GFA (email, Registration System – FIFA Connect, etc) to communicate with the Secretariat.
The GFA further advised football clubs to strictly comply with the ban on gathering and sporting activities and that group training is still not allowed until the ban on social gathering is lifted by the state.
