Ruff n Smooth bounces back with Send Your Fire

imagesThey have not been active on the music scene for some time now but hiplife group, Ruff n Smooth, known for songs like Swagger and Azingele are poised to reclaim their days of glory with their latest song, Send Your Fire.

The duo who recently returned from a concert tour in Canada said their new song is compensation to their fans back home for their “unannounced leave” and to whet their appetite for the great songs they have in store for them.

Life brings its own challenges and obstacles and that is what Ruff n Smooth addresses on Send Your Fire where they call on God to intervene and send down his fire to burn down their enemies who seek their downfall.

The song which was produced by King Dee Studios located at Darkuman features rapper, Guru, and he brings his own style on board as he raps about the need for people to disregard those who don’t want their progress.

Ruff n Smooth is known for their risqué lyrics but on Send Your Fire, they rather take on the opportunity to motivate people to forge ahead in life despite the difficulties they encounter since God is on their side.

The fast tempo song is delivered in the Alkaida tune and for Akhan who spoke on behalf of the group; Send Your Fire is evidence of the new path they want to tread in their career.

“We think that we have got the platform to encourage people and that is exactly what we have set out to do. We want people to know that Ruff n Smooth is a versatile group. This is not a gospel song. It is just to inspire our many fans,” Akhan told Showbiz last week Wednesday.

Send Your Fire was released last month and has got some considerable airplay. Akhan is positive it will gain some public attention when given more publicity.

The group which is made up of Clement Baffour (Akhan) and Ricky Nana Agyeman (Bullet), Ruff n Smooth shot to fame in 2009 with their debut song, Swagger. Some of their well known songs are Beautiful, Sex Machine, Naija Baby, Azingele and Dance for Me.
